Our children have a remarkable ability to press buttons we didn’t even realise we had. It’s as though they were given access to our settings menu. When your child refuses to cooperate, you might feel disrespected.

You used to talk about everything. You’d make plans together, laugh about the same things and look forward to having time with each other. “Ooh, let’s check out that new place.”
